New Patient FAQs
-
Just like any doctor's visit, you will start by filling out a new patient/history form. You will then meet with Dr. Gibson to express any comments, concerns, or questions you have. Dr. Gibson will then perform a physical exam and take note of any past health history. Next, you will lie on a table and the chiropractor will push, pull, or twist sections of your body to find and repair any misalignments in your spine. You will hear some popping and clicking during this process. This is just a release of pressure between the joints. After your adjustment is complete Dr. Gibson and her staff will do any necessary therapies to get you back on track! If you have any other questions feel free to contact our office at (337)678-3300.

A tens unit is a form of therapy we use to help the muscles relax. small electrical impulses are delivered to the affected area of your body, which you feel as a tingling sensation. Electrical impulses can reduce the signals of pain and interrupt the muscle spasms going to the spinal cord and brain, which may help relieve pain and relax muscles.
